About the speaker

Over the past twenty years, Mariya has architected and developed software for a wide range of organizations, from international companies and startups to biotech facilities and government institutions. She is currently finishing a PhD in applied machine learning at Uppsala University, using explainable AI to untangle the genetics of childhood leukemia. Her latest project involves implementing statistical performance guarantees for cancer machine learning models.
