UX Designer
(based in Europe)
Assignment description
We are looking for a proactive, highly autonomous UX Designer to join our customer in a long-term contract capacity. Following a radical team restructuring, our customer has transitioned into hyper-focused, autonomous domain teams.
In this role, you will take complete ownership of specific feature domains across mobile, web, and smartwatch platforms. You will actively run A/B testing to validate design hypotheses and leverage Claude for daily workflows—including executing smaller technical tasks and light coding/prototyping.
What You’ll Do:
– Drive Domain Goals: Work directly with your team to formulate hypotheses, experiment, and solve UX challenges. No passive PRDs—you own the vision and execution.
– Rapid Prototyping & AI Integration: Utilize AI tools (specifically Claude) daily for rapid prototyping, user workflow generation, and testing.
– Data & Experimentation: Focus heavily on product cycle time, continuous experimentation, A/B testing, and feature-flagged rollouts.
– Hands-on Implementation: Working closely with engineering to get ideas into production fast – contributing to production code or feature flags directly is a huge plus.
About the team
– Distributed Culture: Fully remote setup with team members across Sweden, Finland, Ukraine, Germany, Poland, and Spain.
– Lean Structure: Teams are deliberately kept small (a maximum of two engineers, one UX designer, and one Product Manager) to ensure high agility and speed.
– Domain Ownership: Each small team has full autonomy over their product domain, relying on clear asynchronous communication and strong self-direction.
Must haves
– AI Proficiency: Demonstrated experience using AI tools (such as Claude) daily to enhance design speed and productivity (non-negotiable).
– A/B Testing & Analytics: Quantitative validation, setting up experiments, and driving data-informed UX decisions.
– Language: High proficiency in English (the official working language across all teams).
– Willingness to Travel: Ability and willingness to travel at least 3 times per year for team on-sites in Sweden, Finland, or European conferences.
– Domain Mindset: An open mind toward hunting as a practice. Candidates with strong objections to hunting will not be a good fit, as authentic engagement with our customer’s user base is essential.
Other requirements
– Self-Driven & Autonomous: Comfortable making decisions and driving projects forward independently in an async setup.
– Product Ownership: Takes pride in taking concepts from initial idea to final release.
Big Plus:
– Hunting/Outdoor Knowledge: Personal experience or familiarity with the hunting/outdoor domain is a strong bonus.
