Our Customer is building next-generation products for math learning, putting AI at the core of their solution.
Operating as an early-stage, flat team of 6–7 people, they prioritize high autonomy, fast execution, and zero bureaucracy.

You will work on a greenfield project building an adaptive math learning application targeted at 7–12-year-olds for B2C (with potential B2B school expansion).
The product uses Socratic teaching techniques, speech-to-text/text-to-speech interactions, and general LLM models to guide students through customized study flows.

For this project, Our Customer is looking for a senior, mobile-first software engineer with a strong track record of building and shipping mobile applications.
The perfect candidate has started their career in native mobile development, working with Swift/Objective-C (iOS) and/or Kotlin/Java (Android), and has since broadened their expertise into React Native and potentially full-stack development.

About the team
A senior, tight-knit group of 6–7 engineers operating without middle management layers. AI coding agents are embedded into the primary development process rather than treated as a side experiment.
You will report directly to the COO/CTO, enjoying direct ownership over your domain.

Must haves
– Deep, hands-on experience building, shipping, and maintaining multiple mobile applications, ideally through their full lifecycle.
– A solid understanding of mobile architecture, performance, platform-specific behavior and the native iOS/Android ecosystems.
– Strong React Native experience, with the ability to work confidently across the JavaScript/TypeScript and native layers.
– Experience with rich, highly interactive mobile applications is a significant plus.
– Broader full-stack capabilities are valuable, particularly the ability to work across APIs, backend services and integrations.

Other requirements
What Our Customer is NOT looking for:
A generalist full-stack or React developer who has occasionally worked on React Native projects or contributed features to a couple of mobile apps.

The distinction is important: Our Customer is looking for a mobile engineer who has grown into a broader software engineer, rather than a full-stack engineer who has picked up some mobile development along the way.
They want someone with enough depth and seniority to take real technical ownership of their application, make sound architectural decisions and help them build an excellent React Native application.
