Product Designer — UX/UI
Assignment description
Our Customer builds next-generation maths learning products for kids aged 7–12, spanning both home learning environments and school-facing tools. They incorporate AI as a core element of the learner experience, creating adaptive study flows designed to make every session encouraging, effective, and capable of standing on its own.
You will lead the end-to-end UX/UI design for a greenfield, next-generation maths learning platform designed for children aged 7–12. You will own the design decisions across two distinct product contexts: an adaptive home experience for kids and a professional workflow platform for teachers.
Child Experience:
Design an encouraging, standalone home learning product that surfaces AI-driven adaptive interactions. Use learner signals and data to adapt the correct study flow and pacing without relying on gaming mechanics.
Teacher Experience:
Build a professional B2B dashboard that gives teachers complete visibility into their class and supports daily classroom management.
About the team
You will join a small, senior, cross-functional team working on high-impact products.
As the sole designer on the team, you will collaborate directly with a Learning Scientist, engineers, and product managers to translate learning data into effective product features.
Must haves
Child-Centric Design Expertise:
– Proven senior experience designing digital products for children, with deep mastery over age-appropriate interaction patterns, pacing, and emotional tone.
Portfolio:
– A portfolio demonstrating past work on digital products designed specifically for young learners.
AI-First Design Workflow:
– Genuine fluency in integrating AI tools directly into your daily design process for rapid prototyping, iteration, and direction exploration.
Other requirements
– Exposure to or strong comfort with standard dashboard and workflow design (for the teacher-facing tool).
– Self-directed mindset with comfort operating as the standalone designer on a senior team.
– Pragmatic approach to balancing creative exploration with practical delivery goals.
– Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
