Assignment description
Our client, develops technical infrastructure for next-generation iGaming platforms. The company operates at the intersection of traditional backend development and modern, blockchain-based architecture, with a strong focus on transparency, performance, and scalability.
The platform is used to build and operate casino products where large transaction volumes, data integrity, and reliability are business-critical.The company is in an expansion phase, with the product being further developed and scaled to serve more customers and handle increased load. To support this, we are now looking for a senior backend developer who wants to work closely with product and technology in a small, experienced team.
This is an assignment for someone who enjoys building robust backend systems, working close to data, and taking responsibility for technical decisions in a product that is in active development and production.

What you will do;
-Develop and further evolve backend services in TypeScript / Node.js
-Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases for high performance and large data volumes
-Work with APIs, data modeling, and business logic in production-critical flows
-Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and other developers to deliver stable functionality
-Contribute to architecture, code standards, and technical decision-making
-Ensure high quality in terms of performance, security, and testability

About the team
1 CTO & 4 other senior consultants. The team is constantly growing, and the current plan is to bring in 4 new developers.

Must haves
We are looking for someone who;
-Has solid experience in backend development with Node.js and TypeScript
-Is very comfortable working with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL
-Has built and maintained production systems with high demands on stability and scalability
-Thinks long-term about architecture, maintainability, and technical debt
-Takes ownership, drives work forward, and communicates clearly within the team

Backend: TypeScript, Node.js
Database: PostgreSQL
Infrastructure: AWS

Other requirements
Nice to have;
-Experience with systems handling high transaction volumes
-Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS)
-Basic understanding of Web3/blockchains (not a requirement)
-Previous experience working in product companies or fast-growing tech companies
