About the customer

The client is a young AI company based in Stockholm, Sweden. They have developed a novel platform that measures and quantifies the customer journey for e-commerce and online service sales in detail, generating high-resolution behavioral data.

This enables the use of real-time machine learning and AI methods to predict which messages will nudge visitors toward business-critical decisions, such as conversions or additional purchases.

About the team

You will work closely with the team but with a strong emphasis on independent execution. Your main contact person will be one of their Data Engineers.

Assignment description

We are looking for a mid-level or senior Data Engineer to support and develop the in-house analytics dashboard. The role requires a mix of backend development, data processing, and visualization work, all within a Python-based tech stack. The consultant will work independently, collaborating with the team but expected to drive projects forward with little supervision.

Current & Upcoming Projects

• Automated performance alerts – Setting up a system to detect and notify when major performance shifts occur in implementations.
• Improving time-series analysis – Expanding feature visualization over time beyond point-based aggregates.
• User behavior insights – Enhancing reporting on general performance trends and customer behavior across clients.
• Multi-implementation performance view – Developing a dashboard section that allows for broader comparisons instead of single-instance views.
• Refactoring backend – Modularizing services, optimizing data pipelines, and streamlining API endpoints for improved scalability and performance.

• Experience with: Handling large datasets, optimizing data pipelines, and working with statistical data on user behavior

Other requirements

• Experience in data engineering and backend development using FastAPI and Python
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly with time-series data and data visualization
• Ability to work independently, taking ownership of tasks and driving projects forward
• Comfortable working with large-scale datasets and optimizing BigQuery queries
