Senior QA Engineer (Automation)

As a QA Engineer, your role will involve:
-Analyse user stories and requirements to identify risks and define test cases
-Design, execute, and maintain functional, regression, and exploratory tests
-Build and extend automated tests for UI, API, or backend
-Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
-Report and communicate quality insights, focusing on what the results mean
-Suggest and implement improvements in testing practices, tools, and processes
Must haves
-Strong understanding of structured and risk-based test design, drawing on principles from frameworks such as ISTQB or TMAP
-Experience across different test levels including component, integration, system, and UAT
-Ability to design, prioritise, and maintain test cases based on business impact and risk
-Hands on experience with modern automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Appium or Postman
-Comfortable writing basic scripts in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python
-Understanding of APIs, JSON, and CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins
-Treats automation as part of the product codebase, versioned, reviewed, and maintained
-3 to 6 years of experience in QA, test engineering, or a similar quality focused role
-Experience working in agile, iterative delivery environments such as Scrum or Kanban
-Exposure to end to end digital product development across web, mobile, or backend systems
-Experience from consultancy or multi client projects is a plus
Other requirements
-Works closely with developers, designers, and product owners to clarify and test assumptions early
-Communicates findings clearly and constructively, focusing on understanding and action
-Helps stakeholders make informed release decisions by putting risks into context
-Fluent in English; other languages are an advantage
