Assignment description
The client is looking for a motivated Automation QA Engineer to join their growing team. This role will be integral in ensuring the quality and reliability of the e-commerce websites. As a key member of a newly formed e-commerce team, you will have the opportunity to shape their testing strategy from the ground up, focusing on both automated web tests and API testing.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives on collaboration and enjoys working closely with the engineering team to build a robust and scalable testing framework.

About the team
The team consists of a Product Manager, two Full-Stack Developers , and a UX Designer. You will also collaborate with two senior back-end developers and the two full-stack developers from the e-commerce team.

Must haves
– At least 5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
– Proven experience in automated testing of web applications.
– Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
– Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, C#).
– Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured)
– Knowledge of mobile application testing is a plus.
– Experience working in larger, more complex organizations is a plus.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
– Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Other requirements
This is a distributed, remote-first position. The client believes in the power of in-person collaboration and requires team members to be available for travel at least four times per year for team meetings.
